This unique opportunity is for a senior industrial/occupational hygienist who is passionate about the industry, growing training and mentoring others, and has strong leadership skills. The right candidate will be joining the Safe and Sound as a Senior Occ Hygienist. The position will be based in our Christchurch office, reporting to the company's Director.The successful candidate will be a leader, passionate about driving workplace change to decrease health risk, and willing to travel nation wide to meet our clients needs. We are looking for someone who has industry experience in occupational/industrial hygiene work, is a full member of an IOHA professional occupational hygiene association, and ideally is an IOHA NAR accredited Hygienist.The successful applicant will be undertaking high level qualitative and quantitative health risk assessments, exposure monitoring, noise surveys, IAQ assessments, lighting surveys, confined space assessments, thermal assessment, detailed ventilation assessments and respirator fit testing. Therefore, experience in some of these areas is required including the ability to self lead exposure assessments and author technical reports. The role also involves helping grow and train our hygiene technicians, quoting and scoping of tenders, developing and maintaining key client relationships, and helping the hygiene team meets its key KPIs. The work is highly varied with clients in oil and gas, heavy industry, forestry, manufacturing, regional and local government, waste management, healthcare, amoung others.Remuneration (salary) will be based on the candidate's skill set and experience and is negotiable, and will include a cellphone, laptop, and a vehicle.We have a wide range of well-established clients throughout Australasia who demand excellence.
