This role offers an exciting opportunity to partner with key stakeholders across the business and deliver strategic financial insights that drive our performance.
This is a unique role, where you have visibility over end to end performance of the business and ability to get a big picture understanding.You will be responsible for supporting the budgeting and forecasting, board reporting, ensuring plans are achievable, actionable, and consolidated into broader business objectives.This is a role where you will collaborate closely with business units and stakeholders, identifying key risks and opportunities.Main ResponsibilitiesSupport the Financial Planning and Analysis manager with executive business performance reporting to CFO, CEO and Board.Develop, automate and maintain financial and business performance reports to a high standard.Assemble and summarise financial data to be used in financial reports, conducting margin analysis, analysing results and providing commentary.Provide monthly updates on the financial risks and/or opportunities that may impact the company's financial performance, managed through the risks and opportunities register and reported through the Business Performance Report.Manage and refine the process for monthly responsibility centre reporting.Support the Head of Financial Planning and Analysis in the development of the Annual Budget Presentation Pack and manage the preparation of the Pack.Support the development and automation of the milk price model.This role can be based in our Dunsandel or City centre office as well as work from home options.Skills and ExperienceThe ideal candidate will be fluent in Mandarin to coordinate with the major shareholder, have an accounting or business qualification from a tertiary institution.
You will ideally have experience in a Big 4 or financial modelling role where you have developed your commercial judgement and reasoning.Good knowledge of financial and accounting processes and principles as well as business intelligence experience.Prior use of SAP (or equivalent ERP system) and Microsoft Power Suite.Excellent understanding of data architecture, data warehousing, data transformation, report design and report building.
Comfortable with Power BI and reporting.Experience working with large sets of data, breaking them down into meaningful, insightful outputs.Strong communication skills to engage with stakeholders and navigate competing priorities.Strong focus and ability to work under pressure.About Us – The Synlait WaySynlait is a dynamic, purpose-led milk nutrition company that is Doing Milk Differently for a Healthier World!
