Its other companies include FIJI Water, Justin and Landmark Vineyards, Vintage Nurseries, Wonderful Citrus, Wonderful Pistachios, Teleflora, POM Wonderful and Suterra.Job DescriptionWe are currently looking for a Senior Financial Analyst to join our hardworking and tightknit team. In this role you will actively partner with cross-functional teams throughout our organisation to effectively understand changes in the competitive shipping environment. You will be responsible for all aspects of your analyses, from extracting and formulating the data to make business sense. One of the most important aspects of the role is to take a very large quantity of data and analytic results and condense it down into a coherent story with clear, easy to follow conclusions and implications.Here is some of what you will be doing:Analyze large volumes of data and presenting in a concise and intuitive mannerInterpret data to explain financial performance and project future results and formulate a coherent explanation with clear, easy to follow conclusions and implicationsDevelop and execute the annual budget and quarterly forecasts, focusing on the underlying business drivers, key financial and operating metrics, and relative sensitivity analysisDevelop and manage reports for forecasting, sales trends, and financial results analysis, including presentation of financials to senior managementPreparation of voyage estimates, shipping reports and monthly close (including variance explanations)Utilize Cargo Wise (ERP), Power BI, and excel to develop and communicate value-added reporting toolsManagement of the divisions financial statements, including reconciliation of accountsProactively identify issues and opportunities and provide value-added analysis to improve business performanceAs you will be dealing with tight quarterly deadlines, the ability to complete highly accurate analysis of a large range of data will be one of your key strengths.QualificationsHere's what you'll bring to the table:Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field is preferred.5+ years of relevant experience in FP&A or related field with experience with reporting & planning toolsCA or CPA qualification is preferredStrong Excel and PowerPoint skills requiredStrong analytics and strategic thinking skillsThis role will require you to bring a "roll up your sleeves" approach, as we are a very hands-on, detailed organisation where going to invoice level data is not uncommon. You are a collaborative team player who builds strong relationships across functional lines and thrives on adding value.You are also someone who can balance a busy schedule with shifting priorities – nothing phases you! We are looking for an independent self-starter with a strong ability to relay your findings to a wide audience. With a consultative approach, and a resilient and positive outlook, your ability to think conceptually and to logically analyse information will be key to your success in the role.This role will be based out of our Parnell office. You will have the right to live and work in New Zealand at the time of applying.
