Senior Financial Accountant About the company This organisation is one of the largest multinational banking firms in the world and is highly regarded both in the Auckland market and overseas About the role Solid company growth has created this exciting opportunity for an experienced Financial Accountant to join the team This is a great role for a CA CPA qualified accountant with a strong technical accounting background Reporting through to the Head of Financial Accounting this role will suit someone with financial accounting experience gained in a major accounting firm or financial services institution Key responsibilities Prepare the monthly profit and loss and balance sheet reports Obtain collate and analyse data form reconcilable sources used in the preparation of monthly estimates Prepare the financial and business analysis reports Respond to financial inquiries by gathering and interpreting data Prepare disclosure statements Respond to external audit queries and keep all interested parties updated of any matters requiring escalation Undertake sufficient investigative analysis to affirm accuracy of financial records to source Key requirements CA CPA Qualification essential Prior experience working in a major accounting firm and or financial institution 5 years accounting experience Experience working in banking would be an advantage Fluency in Mandarin is advantageous but not essential Great attention to detail and a collaborative work style Good working knowledge and understanding of international accounting standards and preparation of accounting statements Good written and verbal communication skills High level of attention to detail This role provides a great opportunity to develop in a growing international business Robert Walters reviews all CVs manually and you will be contacted if your skills and experience meet the requirements of this client Robert Walters endeavours to review all applications in a maximum of five working days If you have not received correspondence within this timeframe please do not hesitate to contact Andrew Hickey on 09 374 7323
