The Senior Finance Project Manager will lead initiatives aimed at continuous improvement in financial processes, focusing on enhancing work efficiency, process discipline, and optimizing our planning and closing cycles. This role combines financial expertise and project management skills to analyze workflows, identify improvement opportunities, and implement best practices.You will work closely with the CFO to gain further insight, understand each finance function, and provide your recommendations to drive change. Having the ability to partner and influence change will be a key factor in the success of this position.Key responsibilities of this role include:Lead continuous improvement projects and act as the intermediary between the Finance and the business functions to ensure project deliverables can be met.In conjunction with Finance peers, develop, design, and implement effective and timely finance initiatives and solutions to improve business performance.Lead initiatives to implement best practices and innovative solutions that promote finance operational excellence.Establish and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistency and discipline in financial processes.Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, operations, and IT, to ensure alignment on improvement initiatives.Identify and drive opportunities for process enhancements within the finance department.Propose actionable improvements to streamline processes and reduce cycle times.Skills and Experience:You will have a CA/CFA qualification (or equivalent) and a proven track record in a similar role.Previous experience engaging with Executive teams and Boards in a larger mature organization.A solid understanding of the company's business drivers and the ability to provide advice; previous experience within the dairy industry is preferred.Strong ability to communicate capabilities and build a clear, long-term direction for the organization.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on process improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma).Proficient in financial modeling tools (e.g., Excel).About Us – The Synlait Way:Synlait is a dynamic, purpose-led milk nutrition company that is Doing Milk Differently for a Healthier World!
