Join us at Chorus as a Senior Finance Manager in our Chief Technology Office (CTO), where you will play a pivotal role in driving commercial and financial excellence.
In this leadership position, you will support the CTO functional unit in achieving strategic goals through robust capital planning and reporting, and providing great analytical insights to support decision making.
Your commercial expertise will help support business cases to drive investments with the right returns.
Key Responsibilities: Leadership: Drive commercial and financial leadership within the Chief Technology Office (CTO) to support strategic objectives.
Financial Oversight: Manage the finance function, ensuring effective preparation of financial reports, operating budgets, and forecasts.
Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to all regulatory requirements, focusing on accurate cost allocations and financial integrity.
Performance Management: Lead initiatives to achieve EBITDA targets and monitor CAPEX programs to ensure spending aligns with financial goals.
Insightful Reporting: Deliver timely and accurate financial reports with meaningful analysis comparing forecasts to actual performance.
Strategic Advice: Provide financial analysis and decision support to optimize performance and guide CAPEX program formulations.
Process Improvement: Drive enhancements in financial processes to ensure efficiency and accuracy.
Team Development: Foster a culture of engagement and growth, providing coaching and development plans for team members.
System Management: Oversee the development of finance reports and support financial systems management and implementation.
Commitment to Compliance: Uphold all legal, regulatory, and health and safety standards while promoting diversity and inclusion within the team.
Proven ability to lead financial strategies that drive commercial outcomes.
Demonstrated success in a senior financial role with experience producing accurate budgets and forecasts.
Chartered Accountant (CA) or equivalent professional qualification.
Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills.
Our ideal candidate will bring a blend of commercial leadership and technical expertise.
They will be confident and proactive, prepared to address challenging questions and drive change through capacity modelling and innovative reporting techniques related to CAPEX spending.
With a solid IT and accounting background, ideally from the telecommunications industry, they will enhance operational efficiency with their ERP experience.
They will possess in-depth knowledge of finance and accounting principles, along with strong analytical skills to interpret complex data.
Their ability to engage effectively in difficult conversations and challenge the status quo will be crucial.
Adaptability in a fast-paced environment will be essential as they lead the team toward achieving financial goals and supporting transformative initiatives within the organization.
