This role is essential for driving innovative product development and providing high-quality technical service and support. If you're a seasoned electronics engineer with a strong understanding of industrial applications and a commitment to excellence, we'd love to hear from you!Role PurposeAs the Senior Electronics Engineer, you will work closely with the Engineering Manager to support product development, offer technical service and support to customers, and oversee selected sales orders from production through to completion. You will collaborate with production, sales, service staff, and external customers to ensure the successful deployment and support of Atrax's electronic systems and solutions.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and Development: Design electronic circuits and systems for Atrax's industrial weighing and control solutions, including embedded software development.Support and Maintenance: Provide technical service and support for Atrax equipment installed in local and international markets. Support the Engineering Manager in product development, documentation, and regulatory compliance.Production Support: Assist production by managing quality control, production techniques, and end-of-line testing. Pre-production approvals of drawings and technical instructions.Sales and Project Management: Offer engineering support to sales teams for both local and export clients. Convert customer requirements into tailored product offerings.Product Ownership: Act as Product Prime Engineer, managing technical aspects of select Atrax products, and oversee the end-to-end supply of specified sales orders.Customer Interaction: Handle technical inquiries, create engineering change proposals, and define solutions that meet customer needs.Documentation and Compliance: Create and maintain all technical documentation, including circuit diagrams, manuals, and test documentation. Ensure adherence to Atrax's ISO Integrated Management System.Core CompetenciesTeam Player: Demonstrates maturity and works cooperatively, taking ownership of tasks and issues.Communication: Effectively communicate with internal teams and external customers, especially regarding technical issues.Project Management: Experience in managing complex projects with an ability to prioritize and multitask.Customer-Focused: Commercially savvy, capable of understanding and converting customer needs into solutions.Functional/Technical CompetenciesQualifications: Tertiary qualification in electronics, mechatronics, electrical engineering, instrumentation, or a related field.Experience: Minimum 7 years of experience in electronics engineering with at least 3 years in a technical electronics engineering role involving industrial scales control systems. Proven experience with industrial scales, control systems, and embedded software.Skills: Ability to interpret technical specifications, circuit diagrams, and drawings. Strong understanding of electronic hardware, electrical installations, and software/hardware integration. Excellent troubleshooting skills, including diagnosing and solving software issues & hardware faults.
