With this support, we're excited to expand our team and embark on the next chapter of our product journey.About the opportunity: Senior Data EngineerWe're hiring a senior data engineer who is passionate about solving real-world, data-driven customer needs and has expertise in building scalable data infrastructure, ETL pipelines, and data warehousing solutions.At Multitudes, you'll have the opportunity to collaborate with other great minds in an inclusive working environment where you can experiment, innovate, and bring your ideas to life. You'll take full ownership of our data infrastructure, pipeline development, and the data architecture powering our AI-driven product.This role is perfect for someone who can hit the ground running and thrives on diving into complex data engineering challenges while building robust data solutions that directly impact our customers.What you will work on:Reporting directly to our Founder Lauren, collaborate on strategic decisions and ensure alignment with the company's technical directionLead the design and development of the data pipelines that underpin our productOptimize our data infrastructure for performance and reliabilityWork with our Lead Data Scientist Vivek to address the data requirements of our AI and ML roadmapCollaborate with Lauren and Laura, Product & Design Lead, to understand data requirements and participate in customer conversations to gain direct insights into their needs and challengesWork on infrastructure improvements, ensuring reliability, scalability, and performanceCollaborate with Hazel, Emily, and Josh (our other engineers) to ensure seamless data integration across the stackBe part of the on-call roster, handling incidents and customer issues with urgency to maintain service reliabilityOur data stack is built on AWS, Python, dbt, Snowflake, and more recently mage.ai for pipeline orchestration. The Multitudes application is powered by Node.js backed by Typescript APIs which utilize the data created by our pipelines.Core skillsExperience building, orchestrating, and optimizing data pipelines (Python, AWS, Mage, dbt, Snowflake, Airflow or similar)Solid SQL skills and experience with large-scale data processingExpertise in architecture and infrastructure design, bonus if you are familiar with AWS and/or TerraformDeep customer empathy – you're customer-obsessed and eager to meet with customers to understand their pain points and build solutions that truly address themProblem-solving and growth mindset - You embrace feedback and see failures as opportunities to learn and improveAbility to communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholdersCommitment to the core mission and values of Multitudes – you're passionate about our product, driven by our mission, and you feel excited about working for a fast-paced startupAt Multitudes, we know that the perfect candidate doesn't always tick every box.
