You will contribute to delivering the data platform capabilities and services, as well as improving our existing platforms and data engineering practices. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys both the technical aspects of data engineering and the opportunity to communicate findings to key stakeholders.What you'll doIn this role, you will be hands-on with some of the leading tools available, utilising your data engineering skills to the fullest as you help us develop and enhance our products and services. The purpose of this role is to turn complex data from a variety of data sources into easily discoverable datasets which can be utilised to drive informed business decisions.Design and develop end to end data pipelines using tools such as Hevo, Snowflake, Hightouch.Translate functional requirements into technical specifications.Design data solution architecture, data models, data migration, integration, analysis, and visualisation.Exposure to SLT/ELT working collaboratively with the engineering, product, and finance teams.Maintain and build all associated integrations.Work with the team members in supporting existing pipelines.Nice to have'sSolid banking product knowledge.Proficiency in Data Modelling Methodologies and designing relational databases.Strong expertise in SQL for querying, analysing, and manipulating data.Experience with data engineering tools (e.g., Snowflake, DBT, Coalesce, Python).Experience with semi-structured data (e.g., JSON, XML).Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to align technical solutions with business strategies.Strong collaboration and communication skills, able to work with technical teams and business stakeholders.Familiarity with data governance and compliance standards in financial services.QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, IT Architecture, or a related field; a Master's degree is a plus.Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Senior Data Engineer or in a similar role.Expertise in data mining, segmentation techniques, and data transformation activities at an enterprise level.Experience with public cloud platforms (Azure, AWS) and familiarity with data analysis tools such as Power BI.How to love your timeIf you enjoy problem-solving, collaborating with smart people, and being part of positive change, keep reading!
