You will provide advice and support the process of implementing the Customary Fisheries Regulations. This role gives breadth of opportunity to find innovative ways for iwi and hapu to participate and input in Fisheries Management decisions.

You will provide advice and support the process of implementing the Customary Fisheries Regulations. This role gives breadth of opportunity to find innovative ways for iwi and hapu to participate and input in Fisheries Management decisions.
Requirements About You
You will have the ability to establish and maintain strong working relationships with tangata whenua, stakeholders, partners across Fisheries New Zealand, MPI, other New Zealand Government agencies, and service providers.
Your experience should clearly show a history of being able to create and manage networks and opportunities for stakeholders to consider when deciding on ways to realise their ambitions. You should be able to demonstrate to the manager that you can navigate legislation to provide recommendations on the various options, and tools best suited to your stakeholders' needs.
You may be on a journey in your understanding of Te Reo, kawa, and tikanga, and you'll be well supported by others in the team as required.
We are looking for someone with a strong analytical and or general science background as it applies in a wider primary industries context. You'll have strong administrative and writing skills, and an ability to navigate complex legislation.
