Our client is a leading global bank with NZ head offices based in the heart of Auckland's CBD. Off the back of continued growth an exciting opportunity has been created for an experienced Senior Credit Analyst or Credit Manager to specialise in the corporate and institutional lending area.
Reporting to the Head of Risk your key responsibilities will include:
Reviewing and recommending actions for credit applications across commercial, corporate ,institutional lending as well as trade finance and syndicated loans
Providing input to the banks overall lending portfolio as well as alerting and advising on high risk or deteriorating customers and/or industries
Being the subject matter expert for the bank and continuously work to enhance the bank's credit risk boundaries, policies and practices
Developing the technical ,credit and risk capabilities of staff and sales teams through ongoing mentoring and coaching
Building and maintaining appropriate internal and external relationships to build a comprehensive understanding of the current and emerging risk environments
To be successful in this role, you will have a sound understanding of corporate and institutional lending, risk profiles and current best practice tools. You will have recent experience working in corporate and institutional credit risk for a large bank and will have a demonstrated track record of prudent credit management in this sector.
Alternatively we would consider a candidate with credit approval experience in a commercial banking team wanting to transition into corporate/institutional banking. You will need strong communication skills as well as the ability to problem solve and be analytically minded.
