We've been pioneers of wine industry practices since 2003 - we're passionate about wine and we love what we do!Key ResponsibilitiesAs a Senior Commercial Analyst for Sales and Marketing you will play a lead role in supporting these teams to achieve their performance objectives. This will include providing commercial insight and performance updates, new product development business cases, A&P spend, and return-on-investment of trade spend analysis. You will also own month-end performance reviews, and support the Commercial Manager in strategic business cases.Day to Day:Business partner to Sales & Marketing Channel teamsLead month-end review meetings with your key business partners to drive gap closures, risk and opportunity formation, and deliver key actionable insights to the wider business to drive business change.Key commercial lead on new product development and portfolio optimisation.Review and control trade spend/A&P spend to ensure optimal spending, accurate monthly & year-end recognition of accruals & rebates, including allocation to brands, products & customers to support analysis.Lead planning and performance forecasting for Sales and Marketing teams, including forecasting, performance analysis, and decision support.Provide appropriate financial ROI analysis & tools to support decision-making and to ensure optimal allocation & returns on marketing or trade spend projects.Build commercial acumen, strategy development & performance focus in the teams you partner with.Support projects to drive efficiencies and improvements to ways of working and reporting by embracing a continuous improvement mindset.What You Need to Be Successful5+ years background in accounting and financeExperience as an analyst within a commercial finance team, preferably in an FMCG environmentCA/CPA qualified (ideally, but not essential)Customer pricing and new product development experience would be highly desirableFinance Business Partner experience with the ability to engage independently with different functions within the businessAble to rapidly evolve finance ways of working to meet strategic shifts in the businessAbility to work with large data sets with ExcelWhat We OfferWork-Life Balance: Flexible hours and the opportunity to work from home 2 days per weekHolistic Exposure: Although the focus is sales and marketing, in this role you will gain exposure to the entire value chain process, from agriculture to manufacturing through to distributionUnique Leave Options: Benefit from 1x "You Day" per annum, additional company-paid parental leave, and options to purchase an extra 2 weeks of annual leave per yearHealth Benefits: Enjoy Southern Cross Health Insurance coverageCareer Development: Unlock diverse career development opportunities within finance and across various functionsPositive Culture: Experience a positive, friendly, and passionate work culture, with occasional wine tastings!Empowering Environment: Thrive in a flexible business environment that empowers the team to take ownershipWellness Perks: Receive an annual wellness allowance to support your well-beingWine Allowance: Indulge in a wine allowanceConvenient Location: Located in Newmarket, close to shops, restaurants and public transport, with multiple parking options available at lower prices than the CBDIf this role is of interest to you, don't delay.
