Senior Cloud Developer Publication Date 20 / 11 / 2024 Location Christchurch Type Part-time Sector IT & Telecomms Software - Developer We have an initial 3-month (20 hours per week) contract opportunity available for a Senior AWS Cloud Developer to join our Christchurch based clients.
The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in the development and maintenance of systems across the business.
This is a Christchurch based opportunity, we will not be considering remote or FIFO candidates for this position.
REQUIREMENTS: Key role in the development and maintenance of systems across wider business departments.
Design, test and implement integrations with cloud-native technologies.
Guide the team through the long-term strategy of adopting new technology.
Be an adaptive team member who can take a leadership role in software architecture, development, refactoring, testing, and maintaining new and existing code across database, services, and experience layers Build and maintain software and systems to a high-quality standard.
ABOUT YOU: You will be able to adapt to changing requirements and pivot as necessary.
Due to your extensive experience across the required tech stack, you will be able to provide leadership to more Junior Developers within the department.
You will be a creative and motivated Developer who excels working individually and in a team environment.
You'll have a problem-solving mindset and be able to contribute, innovate and deliver industry-leading solutions.
You will bring excellent and concise written & oral communication skills whilst being able to adapt to your audience.
SKILL SET: 5-8 years of hands-on experience in developing and maintaining code bases in Java.
Excellence in coding standards and practices.
In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience in AWS (ECS, Aurora, Lambda).
Demonstrable experience in JavaScript, SQL and mySQL.
Proven experience working in an Agile environment.
