Senior Civil Project Manager – Christchurch

Are you an experienced Civil Project Manager looking for a challenging yet rewarding opportunity in the vibrant city of Christchurch?
We are seeking an experienced individual to join our dynamic team as a Senior Civil Project Manager.
As a key player in our organization, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing a variety of heavy civil projects, contributing to the growth and success of our company while making a significant impact on the infrastructure of Christchurch and the South Island.
Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage civil engineering projects from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
Develop project plans, schedules, and budgets, and monitor progress against milestones, making adjustments as necessary to ensure successful project delivery.
Coordinate with internal teams, subcontractors, suppliers, and stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration throughout the project lifecycle.
Conduct risk assessments and implement appropriate mitigation strategies to minimize project risks.
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, health and safety standards, and environmental regulations.
Provide leadership, mentorship, and guidance to project teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
Prepare and present project status reports, updates, and presentations to senior management and stakeholders.
Qualifications and Experience: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field; advanced degree preferred.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in civil engineering project management, with a proven track record of successfully delivering complex civil and infrastructure projects.
Strong technical knowledge and understanding of civil engineering principles, practices, and techniques.
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail and quality.
Experience working in New Zealand's civil engineering industry and familiarity with local regulations and standards is highly desirable.
Professional certifications such as Project Management Professional (PMP) or Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) would be an advantage.
