Korero mo te turanga - About the role About Crown Property: The Crown Property group is responsible for managing around 2 million hectares of Crown land and waterways across New Zealand including surplus crown assets, commercial and residential properties, pastoral leases, and forestry licences.
We administer the Landbank held for Treaty Settlements, acquisitions and disposals of properties, biosecurity, and Crown Forest licenses.
We provide leadership and direction for LINZ administered Crown land, looking for opportunities to maximise these assets for the benefit of New Zealanders.
About your role Your role as a Senior Business Partner - Property Finance will work across our diverse property portfolio, maximising revenue and ensuring our costs are well managed, ensuring that we are getting the best value for our spend.
We are looking for someone with a strong background in finance and property management.
You will have experience maximizing revenue collection in accordance with the various agreements we manage.
You will have considerable experience managing debt recovery and engagement with customers.
You will be a detail-focused person who looks for exceptions, scrutinizes costs, and ensures we are receiving great value from our suppliers.
You will be used to working with multiple systems and will know what is needed to keep data and systems accurate.
About your team This fixed term role will be providing additional specialised support during a time of increased workload and will be part of a small team who provide specialised support and advice across all of Crown Property.
You will engage broadly across Crown Property and our centralised finance team.
He pukenga tou - Skills & Experience Knowledge of property management: An understanding of property regulations and relevant laws.
Tenant relationship management: Experience in establishing and maintaining constructive relationships with tenants including debt management and actively following-up on arrears.
Lease administration: Ensuring tenancy arrangements are captured and invoiced accurately, this could involve but is not limited to attending to rent reviews, renewals, and working with both external and internal stakeholders to maintain accurate lease records, documentation, and optimise recharging.
Property maintenance: Overseeing maintenance and repairs costs to ensure accuracy.
Financial management: Monitoring rent collection, expenses, and financial reports, and identifying cost-saving opportunities where possible.
Coordinating accrual processes to improve accurate monthly spend.
Lead rates payments process.
The expected appointing range for this role is between $110,000 - $125,000.
