About the Role | Mo te Turanga This is a critical role where you will partner with our Store Operations leadership team to improve the financial performance of our stores and ensure we are delivering on our financial and strategic business objectives.
You'll be the expert providing insights to help our Ops team understand our current financial state - whether it's around sales, repairs and maintenance, depreciation, or profit - and will support them in keeping track of those financials and provide meaningful recommendations on how we can keep sales up and our costs down!
It's a role with a key Accounting focus, so you will have:
A knack with numbers and being highly analytical.The ability to draw conclusions from key insights and influence key stakeholders to make operational business decisions.You will bring in strong organisational skills, including the ability to manage multiple deadlines and effectively coordinate others to meet tight timelines.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
A relevant financial/accounting degree with a minimum of 4 years of experience in a finance role.A strong understanding of the business and the ability to consider business impacts in decision-making.Excellent relationship-building skills and the ability to quickly develop trust with multiple stakeholders.Strong problem-solving, design, and analytical skills with meticulous attention to detail.A passion for learning and a commitment to continuous improvement.Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex financial information clearly.Strong systems experience (SAP and Business Objects) and advanced Excel/modelling skills.Working with Woolworths NZ | Me mahi tahi tatou ki Woolworths NZ With over 190 stores and 20,000 team members across Aotearoa, we've made it our mission to make Kiwi lives a little better every day.
