About You You will take the lead on some of the exciting work we do for our clients. You will have a passion for development, a positive, can-do attitude, and the curiosity to tackle new client challenges. Ideally, we are looking for someone who has: 5+ years in a development role Comfortable with Unix command line/shell script programming Solid experience with version control (Git) and code repository/release management Familiar with modern bioinformatics approaches and algorithms for genomic sequence analysis. Ability to advise software developers on relevant biology Background or experience in human cancer biology is a bonus Experience with next-generation sequencing data, and a record of publications a plus Applied mathematics, Bayesian statistics, machine learning, optimization algorithms, and bioinformatics experience a plus Excellent written and oral English skills Applicants for this position must have NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa.
