About the role
The Polynesian Health Corridors (PHC) team supports Polynesian countries through a range of modalities, including directly assisting countries and contracting partners for technical assistance. The Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs) pillar aims to provide support for cancer control and mental health activities.
As Senior Advisor – Mental Health, you will provide expert advice, guidance, and direction on the delivery of the Mental Health programme plan, supporting the wider NCDs pillar work programme in delivering it to Polynesian countries.
This role is fixed term for 2 years with a midpoint salary of $105,270, depending on individual skills and experience.
Ko pukenga - What you'll bring

Experience in mental health service management, leadership, and policy development
Background in public health with a qualification such as Public Health, Psychology, Nursing, or relevant research and programme management experience
Familiarity with Polynesian countries' health and development issues and connections to Pasifika communities in NZ
Strong written and oral communication skills
Demonstrated knowledge of the machinery of government and political processes
