TAB NZ is seeking a Senior Advisor, Finance to join their team in Wellington. This role is integral to the future of the organisation as they embark on a 25-year strategic partnership with a leading global company. The successful candidate will be responsible for key areas such as financial management, stakeholder engagement and ensuring contractual performance. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the delivery of vital funding for racing and sport in New Zealand.What you'll do:As a Senior Advisor, Finance, your role will be pivotal in maintaining the financial health of the organisation. You will be responsible for ongoing accounting tasks including recording, coding and payments of all invoices and gaming grants. Your meticulous attention to detail will play a crucial role in supporting financial controls within the organisation. Your ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritise effectively and provide timely responses to accounting queries will contribute significantly to the success of the finance function. Reporting to the GM, you'll lead the finance function with our proven leadership capabilities.Preparation of monthly reporting pack together with analysis of any variances.Ensure robust financial controls are in place and in accordance with the appropriate accounting standards (IFRS).Ensure accounting queries are answered in a timely fashion or assist engaging a specialist advice where needed.Lead project work on financial analysis, budget process, treasury and other projects as directed by GM Commercial and Finance.Supporting the GM Commercial and Finance deliver a legally compliant finance function which ensures robust, accurate compilation and recording of all finance activity of TAB NZ.Preparation of the annual financial statements in accordance with the appropriate accounting standards (IFRS).Effective management and mentoring of Management Accountant.What you bring:Membership of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand or equivalent.Minimum 4 years of experience in managing the finance function in a similar scaled business.Proven competency in managing ongoing accounting obligations.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Strong communication and reporting capability.Pragmatic and solution-oriented thinking.Organised, with an ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise.What sets this company apart:TAB NZ is responsible for securing and delivering vital funding for racing and sport in New Zealand.
