We are currently working on behalf of a well-regarded, family-run accountancy firm based in Matamata who are on the lookout for a Senior Accountant / Aspiring Client Manager to join their team.
In this role, you will maintain a portfolio of clients and provide accounting advice to various agricultural and commercial clients.
This is an ideal opportunity for someone seeking a permanent role in a collaborative team environment with flexible working arrangements.
What you would be doing:
Managing a portfolio of clients, liaising with various accounting issues
Conducting various tax returns and compliance
Preparing and reconciling financial statements
Assisting in accounting services such as budgeting, cashflow, and management reporting

Who are we looking for?
We're interested in hearing from people who have prior experience working in public practice, are excellent communicators, have a keen eye for detail, and the ability to juggle workloads and deadlines. If that sounds familiar, we would love to hear from you!
Ideally, you should have the following experience:
Proficient in all MS Office tools
Experience in tax returns and compliance
Experience in client engagement
Exposure to systems such as Xero, APS, or similar accounting software would be a benefit
In order to be successful in this role, you must have recent experience within a New Zealand-based public practice Chartered Accounting firm.
