The role requires research to be undertaken in the focus areas of civil engineering and construction.
This is an important part of the role to ensure that Ara is refining the programmes of study within engineering and construction and supporting industry in the application of knowledge in these focus areas.
You will provide the knowledge and skills to undertake teaching and the associated activities to learners.
By applying your knowledge and skills to the role, you enable learners to gain the necessary knowledge and skills to complete their qualification and apply it to their work when they are employed in the industry.
You complete all tasks to a standard that maintains the academic integrity and quality.
You are expected to work to high professional standard and demonstrate the qualities to learners that will be expected by future employers.
You will ensure that learners are supported and there is a healthy working and learning environment operating within the Department and teaching spaces.
Minimum Requirements: A Bachelor or higher qualification in the area of the programme of study or a related discipline.
Current industry/discipline knowledge in the fields of commercial construction and infrastructure.
An Ara-recognised teaching qualification.
A high level of understanding and experience in the knowledge and practices related to the Programme of Study.
Knowledge and competency in the use of the relevant tools (hardware and software) that are used in Industry for those allocated courses that are taught in the Programme of Study.
