Secondary School Workshop Technician

We require a part time technician to support our teaching team in the technology department at Christchurch Boys' High School for 14 hours per week. This would ideally suit a retired tradesperson with a background in engineering. Being familiar with computers and possibly CNC machines, are a definite advantage. Hours of work may be negotiated to suit the applicant. Responsibilities would involve: Maintenance of department tools, equipment and fixtures.Performing and recording of regular Health & Safety checks & settings.Purchasing of consumables as directed by teaching staff.Preparation of materials as directed by teaching staff.Minor "one off" jobs & alterations (storage etc)The applicant would be required to be police vetted to work with children and some basic computer literacy would be beneficial.
