Sawmill Head Rig Operator

We're an established locally owned and operated company and pride ourselves on providing our customers with great service.We're currently looking for a Sawmill Head Rig Operator with a "we'll see you right" attitude. The position is permanent full time, Monday to Friday.Key responsibilities include:Set up and calibrate the Head Rig saw to achieve precise cutsMaximise production output and minimise wastage materialContinuous monitoring of the cutting process, making adjustments to ensure optimal performance and product qualityLoading of logs into the Head Rig, checking alignment and position for accurate cuttingInspection of logs before and after cutting to ensure they meet quality standardsStrictly adhere to and foster compliance of all relevant company Health and Safety protocolsMonitoring of mill equipment and informing the mill manager of any required mill maintenance or damage observedFostering a culture of best practice and enthusiasm towards your work amongst your colleaguesKey and ideal attributes for the role are:Previous experience using Head Rig machinery essentialGood working knowledge of machineryBasic computer skills and strong math abilityExcellent hand/eye coordinationMotivated to continuously improve and upskill all areas within your roleWe'll see you right by offering a competitive remuneration package.
