Sales Manager (Marketing Executive) - North America and NZ domestic market Populous People Hastings Central, Hawkes Bay Account & Relationship Management (Sales) This sales and export market role will see the right person carve out a long-term and really rewarding sales leadership pathway in the heart of the primary industry. Based in Hawkes Bay, Ovation New Zealand Limited is a large and well-established integrated lamb sourcing, slaughter, processing and exporting business delivering the world's best-quality lamb. Their sales team have strong and impressive export market relationships. This role will see you selling and managing programmed sales into their USA and Canadian based customers, as well as managing sales and relationships with a range of NZ based domestic customers. If you are a sales executive, account manager, trader or BDM who can relate to the primary industry and red meat sector, then this could be a great opportunity for you.  You will work closely with an experienced global sales manager and wider team to proactively engage with current and new customers to drive further profitable sales and market share. Their clients range from large corporates to smaller, privately held entities, as well as independent third-party traders – they all rely on your ability to understand and support their needs. This role does not sit in isolation. You will be working closely with those in production planning and shipping, so you can't be shy of systems. And you will be working with a group of leaders keen to share their knowledge and develop you for the future. There are many priorities, demands and deadlines intersecting at any one time and you'll be right at the forefront, overseeing each step of the process. Those of you who are focused, driven, and will enjoy navigating the challenges of sales in global markets will feel right at home here. You will need to demonstrate that you can quickly develop credibility, trust and authenticity with your customers. An understanding of New Zealand primary industry variables, and producer-based supply chains and export markets would be a real asset. This role will involve occasional travel throughout the year so you will need to feel comfortable and have an appetite for this. We are open to your level of experience, but ideally you will be tertiary qualified and have five to ten years sales / account management experience and be ready for the next phase of extension and development.
