Medical professionals are switching to digital referral solutions when communicating between each other. Our client's specialized referral solution provides a quick, efficient means of providing medical specialists the information they need to refer patients and communicate between each other easily – It is a no brainer!
The Opportunity:We are looking for a polished, articulate, experienced phone-based BDM to join their Ponsonby-based sales team, and to be responsible for the growth of their Australian client base.
This is a phone-based role, where you will be engaging with a range of medical specialists and the people who manage their practices. They are a busy, educated, time-poor bunch of professionals, who appreciate solutions that are easy to use and will bring value to their businesses.
You will be proactively calling these medical professionals to sell a range of web-based solutions, online directory solutions, e-learning, advertising, and marketing services. The platform is an important means of communication between GPs and Medical Specialists, so it is received well.
You will be actively using the online platform to demonstrate the technology to new clients, so you must be confident in using online technology as a sales tool (Webinars / Screen sharing).
You will join a great team that will support and train you, so that you can be really successful in this role.
About You:
Confidence in cold calling, with a background where you have been successful in a similar phone-based new business role.
No fear approach to business development through cold calling.
Superior communication. Extremely articulate, with a very professional phone manner.
Confident in your own ability to engage and hold sales-focused conversations with a highly educated client base. Educating and advising, as well as selling and onboarding new clients.
Adept at using technology and being able to guide clients through digital changes.
Tenacious, to follow through the sales process.
Good use of CRM. Strong administration skills. Attention to detail and accuracy.
You will be calling Australian medical clients, as well as NZ clients, so you could work any 40 hours, between 9am - 9pm. (Discussed and Agreed to of course, e.g 10am-6pm, 11am-7pm).
Who would suit?
Those who have previous phone sales experience. (New business)
This is not a call centre position. You will not be reading from a sales script, or have a team leader hovering over you, or listening into your calls.
It will require someone who has more than a few years of sales under their belt, with well-honed sales skills and confidence in cold calling.
You will also need to be confident with technology and be capable of learning and presenting online platforms and solutions.
Those who have some media/advertising sales experience will be very suitable for this role.
This is an in-house/office-based role, so no work from home options.
Rewards:Our client is prepared to pay well for the right person with a base salary around $80K-$85K and an incentive scheme to bring the OTE to $100K+, or more.
