High Dependency & Acute Assessment Unit Wairau Hospital, Blenheim
Permanent 0.6 FTE position working rostered and rotating shifts Monday to Sunday across mornings, afternoons, and nights. Shifts can be worked as 8 or 12 hour duration.
We are looking for a Registered Nurse with at least 2 years experience in critical care, either in Intensive Care, High Dependency care, Coronary care, or Emergency Nursing. Consideration will be given to nurses with a background in medical or surgical nursing who can demonstrate the ability to become competent in critical care.
Our busy and well-equipped HDU/AAU provides critical care services for Wairau Hospital, including short term intensive care often transferring patients to secondary or tertiary level ICUs. It is co-located with our Emergency Department at Wairau Hospital. We provide a supportive and nurturing workplace to assist staff to meet the challenges of this diverse area, at the frontline of the acute health care service.

You will be a NZ Registered Nurse with a current NZNC practising certificate and will have at least two years of post-registration critical care nursing experience.
You'll enjoy the variety and challenge of a rapidly changing environment and will be a team player, who enjoys keeping up to date with clinical practice, with excellent organisational and time management skills and a commitment to quality.
