Positions: 1 Full Time Restaurant & Bar Manager and 1 Full Time Chef De Partie
We are looking for an experienced Manager & Chef de partie to join our excellent hospitality venue in Te Awamutu. This position requires working on weekends.
You will be required to work a minimum of 35 hours/week, with a maximum of 45 hours/week. A degree in hospitality management or a diploma in the same will be advantageous. For the Chef role, a diploma/degree in cookery will be advantageous.

Can work with a team under pressure. Is able to bring a smile to our local customers. Qualifications/Work Experience for Restaurant/Bar Manager:
To be successful, you will need to have at least 24 months of experience in a Management role. Candidates with LCQ qualifications and a manager certificate will be preferred for this role, as this is essential to serve liquor in the establishment.
Your responsibilities for Restaurant & Bar Manager may include: Maintaining a welcoming environment within the bar & restaurant at all times. Keeping up to date with licensing legislation regarding liquor laws. Following health and safety rules to ensure the safety of other staff and customers. Carrying out the daily cleaning schedule within the bar with the team. Presenting food and beverage elements of the bar attractively to customers and using upselling where needed. Ability to upsell, cross-sell, and make recommendations. Preparing and serving bottled alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, cocktails, mocktails, etc. Receiving payments from patrons and operating POS. Getting staff to replenish stock and bar display. Shift management and stock management. Staff training and recruitment. Menu planning and drinks menu changes from time to time. Helping the owner with cost controls, budgeting, and stock handling. Understanding budgeting, forecasting, and revenue management. Qualifications/Work Experience for Chef De Partie:
To be successful for the Chef De Partie role, you will need to have at least 2-3 years of relevant work experience. A relevant cookery qualification will be advantageous.
Your duties as Chef De Partie may include: Assisting the Sous Chef and the Head Chef in menu planning and maintaining food costs under control through effective ordering of supplies. Having a thorough understanding of local market produce and a passion for keeping up to date with modern food trends. Assisting the Head Chef and Sous Chef in managing the team by providing guidance, support, and direction to achieve financial results. Working with the Head Chef and Sous Chef to drive and achieve desired results as well as exceeding goals. Training junior staff. Independently managing a section of the kitchen in monitoring, preparing, garnishing, and presenting food. Maintaining strict health and safety standards. Assisting in the recruitment procedure. Preserving food, raw materials, grocery items, meat, etc., through freezing and other methods. You must have a valid work visa or residence status to apply for this role.
