Research Ethics Advisor

The Research Ethics Team is a high performing professional team providing administrative support and facilitating advice and learning for staff and students.The Research Ethics Advisor is responsible for providing research ethics support, advice and education and for working with human ethics committees and other stakeholders to ensure the highest procedural standards of ethical oversight.The Research Ethics Advisor will work in conjunction with other members of the Graduate Research School and Ethics team.Key RelationshipsTeam Leader, Research EthicsChair, Research Ethics Chairs CommitteeAcademic staffResearch students and supervisorsChairs and members, Human Ethics CommitteesPostgraduate Learning and Development FacilitatorResearch OperationsVC/Provost and College Business HubsQualifications and ExperienceDesirable tertiary qualification or equivalent experience in research ethics.Significant experience in administration, preferably in the tertiary sector.Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other IT systems.Essential CapabilitiesWillingness to learn about the Massey University Code of Ethical Conduct.Professionalism in dealing with diverse stakeholders.Exceptional customer service and communication skills.Strong organizational skills and ability to work under pressure.Pre-employment ChecksPass a Criminal and Traffic Convictions (Security) Check.
