Registrar in Psychiatry | FRANZCP Accredited | Northland | NZ Odyssey Recruitment – Northland region Full time Seeking registrars at the level of PGY3 and above for positions in psychiatry in a public sector hospital in New Zealand's North Island just 30 minutes flight from international hub Auckland.
The hospital is a 260 bed secondary general facility with a full range of medical and surgical services including a 24/7 emergency department.
It supports three small satellite hospitals across the Northland region and enjoys tertiary support from Auckland.
Position Highlights: The psychiatry programme offers runs in acute inpatient psychiatry, community adult psychiatry, Maori mental health, rural psychiatry, child and youth mental health, liaison psychiatry, and psychiatry for older adults.
The hospital is part of the Northern Region Psychiatry Training Programme.
Considerable success in providing comprehensive training to Registrars enabling them to gain Fellowship of the RANZCP.
Excellent consultant support and access to regular local teaching and participation in teaching through the Northern Region training scheme.
40 hour working week.
On call rota participation.
