If you are interested in nursing surgical patients including those admitted for General Surgery, bariatric and Upper GI Surgeries, Colo-rectal, vascular, gynaecological, ENT & urological surgeries and are keen to gain experience in this field then APPLY TODAY!
For the continued provision of high standard care, the General Surgery Department at Tairawhiti District Health is currently looking for a Registered Nurse to join their team full time.
Competency with te ao Maori, tikanga, and te reo Maori or a commitment to starting your journey and taking ownership of your learning and growth (mandatory)
Experience in projects/initiatives which give effect to Te Tiriti principles and frameworks, and the application of Matauranga Maori and Kaupapa Maori approaches, particularly as they apply in healthcare settings (mandatory)
Having an empathetic and friendly disposition is vital as is an excellent approach to problem solving, the ability to organise and to remain calm under pressure. Experience working in a surgical setting is desirable.
Candidates must be registered with the New Zealand Nursing Council and have a current annual practicing certificate.
