About the Role If you are looking for a new challenge and enjoy variety in your work, then our Nursing Resource Unit wants to speak to you! Our Nursing Resource Unit at Southland Hospital has a pool of Registered Nurses who work across all wards of the hospital, and we are inviting applications for experienced and motivated Registered Nurses to join our team.
We are interested in hearing from enthusiastic Registered Nurses who would be able to adapt to any ward situation. This really is the role which will offer variety, pace and flexibility. The opportunities available are across all shifts 24/7 (incl. night shifts).
About the Team/Service/Location Te Whatu Ora - Southern has the largest geographical coverage of all the New Zealand regions, providing services to 350,000 people in diverse communities. About you To be successful in this role you will be:
A good communicator and team player, Flexible and adaptable, Eligible to work in New Zealand, Able to work collaboratively with other health professionals and autonomously, Able to easily integrate into different established teams in order to provide effective patient care, Have Nursing Council of NZ registration, and a current APC. Ideally have previous experience in a hospital setting. Competency with te ao Maori, tikanga, and te reo Maori or a commitment to starting your journey and taking ownership of your learning and growth. Experience in projects/initiatives which give effect to Te Tiriti principals and frameworks, and the application of Matauranga Maori and Kaupapa Maori approaches, particularly as they apply in healthcare settings. Salary Range This role belongs to the expired Te Whatu Ora / NZNO Collective Agreement and falls between the Step 1 ($75,773 p.a pro-rata) and Step 7 ($106,739 p.a pro-rata).
