Contributeto the evolution of Mental Health Nursing by collaborating on impactful qualityenhancement projects. Your expertisematters here. Some of your responsibilities include, but arenot limited to: Use your nursing knowledge and skills to assess, plan, implement, monitor, and evaluate tangata whai ora/taiohi/whanau health needs. Provide dynamic and holistic nursing care to achieve best health outcomes. Engage and work alongside community support workers, tangata whai ora and whanau to improve knowledge of illness, self-management and prevention of complications and promote well-being. Champion equitable health access and outcomes for all whai ora. Each person hasdifferent needs, so we tailor the amount and type of support to the person. This is a clinicalrole, so you'll have a current New Zealand registration as a registered nurseand where, you will help us improve the health and wellbeing of people wesupport (for example smoking cessation, health eating, liaison with GP). Hours include: Monday to Friday, 8.30am to5.00pm – with an after-hours/on-call component. About You | Mou In your cover letter, kindly express your reasons as to why you want towork at Pathways, and also how you meet some of the requirements below: Minimum of 2 years Nursing and mental health experience. An understanding of the New Zealand context of service delivery. A current New Zealand Health registration in Nursing. You must hold a current full New Zealand driver's licence. Knowledge, skills and experience in developing care plans, risk management plans, supporting other Clinicians and working with a multi-disciplinary team. An understanding of trauma-informed care and experience in working with people. Both de-escalation skills and relationship building skills. Ability to adapt quickly in a rapidly changing environment. You must hold a current first aid certificate or be willing to obtain one. An understanding and commitment to the principles of recovery. Knowledge of, and demonstrable commitment to, the articles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi. Maoriand Pasifika are strongly encouraged to apply for this role.
