Our services are offered in Rakiura (Stewart Island), Bluff, Invercargill, Otago and surrounding areas.We have an exciting opportunity for a Registere Nurses to join our Te Kakanoa Nurse Led Community Outreach service we deliver across Southland.About the Role - Mo te tungaRegistered Nurse is responsible for establishing a therapeutic partnership with whanau through whakawhanaungatanga, (establishing trusting relationships) clinical assessment, intervention, care planning, follow up and education through the delivery of nurse outreach services in various community settings. You will promote and deliver matauranga Maori and clinical models of practise to reduce health inequities of hapori Maori, (Maori communities).As our Registered Nurse, we will support you on the Nurse Practitioner pathway should this be a career goal you aspire to achieve.Ideally, you would have the following:Or, be a Registered Nurse with current NCNZ practicing certificate, preferably with vaccinator and cervical screening qualificationsA desire to engage in the pathway to become a Nurse PractitionerBe comfortable withtikanga (correct Maori protocols), Te Reo Maori (Maori language), delivery of matauranga Maori models (Maori based knowledge approaches) and building meaningful relationships with individuals and their whanau (family)Able to demonstrate a high level of personal integrityFull NZ drivers licenseYou will be supported with clinical supervision, training and development opportunities to support your journey to increasing your skills as a Registered Nurse and or becoming a Nurse Practitioner.
