Registered Nurse - Children's Haematology and Oncology Health New Zealand - Te Whatu Ora - Waitaha Canterbury – Christchurch, South Island
0.8FTE (32 hours a week, includes 0.4FTE Permanent and 0.4FTE Fixed Term till October 2025)
Rotating roster, Monday to Sunday across Morning, Afternoons and Nights.
The Children's Haematology Oncology Centre (CHOC) is one of two tertiary paediatric oncology centres in New Zealand. We provide inpatient and outpatient care for up to 50 new diagnoses per year. Our regional services provide shared care support for Tamariki (children) and their whanau (families) in the South Island and lower North Island and we participate in high quality clinical research programmes with most tamariki in our service enrolled on clinical trials.

We are looking to recruit a Registered Nurse, preferably with paediatric oncology experience (although it is not essential) to join our dedicated multidisciplinary team to continue to ensure quality care for the tamariki within our service.
Our nurses are supported as we seek to provide clinical excellence with professional development and ongoing learning needs.

Experience in Child Health and/or chemotherapy administration
Must be able to work all shifts – Morning, Afternoon and Nights across Monday to Sunday
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to engage well.
Effective problem solving and decision-making skills.
Ability to work efficiently and effectively in a multidisciplinary team
Able to work well under pressure
Initiative and a proactive approach to work
Registered with the Nursing Council of New Zealand with a current APC
Ongoing training and development
