Ko te kaupapa | About the role

The MICAMHAS Team is looking for a Registered Nurse, Social Worker, or Psychologist to join their team to provide high-quality and effective professional mental health and addictions practice to young people and their whanau.
The role will provide client-centred assessment, therapy-based interventions, and evaluations to young people/whanau to support their transition to wellness and to develop resilience.

It is expected that you will have an understanding of the impact of social determinants on infant, child, and youth development and the importance of cultural connections while fostering a strength-based model of care.
Whanganui MICAMHAS uses the Choice and Partnership Approach (CAPA) as a service model, and an understanding of this model would be preferable.
Being able to develop and maintain working relationships with our Whanganui community partners/agencies is essential.
The current team is committed to best practice guidelines and improving outcomes, so participation and leadership in quality work is expected.
