The Regional Manager is responsible for regional leadership and direction to support the provision of high-quality Early Childhood Education at the Playcentres located in the Lower North Island region. You will work collaboratively to ensure national consistency in service delivery, and to ensure all centres are supported to achieve in the most appropriate manner to their communities.
Position Description:The Regional Manager will also be responsible for driving revenue and growth within the area allocated.
This is a permanent full-time position based at the Lower North Island Regional Office in Lower Hutt.
The ideal candidate will have:Excellent relationship management skills - proven ability to interact effectively and confidently with a range of stakeholders.Ability to deliver on strategic objectives through setting and tracking regional business plans, workplans.Ability to manage budgets, revenue, and costs.Well-developed influencing skills to achieve effective outcomes that are owned by stakeholders.An ability to approach problems analytically, from a variety of perspectives, identifying immediate and long-term consequences.Displays a demonstrated understanding of te ao Maori, including an appreciation of matauranga Maori, tikanga Maori, and te reo Maori.Proven experience and ability to lead, manage, and motivate teams to achieve success.Commitment to Playcentre philosophy and values.A tertiary qualification in a related field is preferred.Flexibility to travel and work remotely as required from time to time.Desirable skills and experience will include:Early Childhood Education / Playcentre experience or knowledge is desirable.Knowledge of Early Childhood Education legislation and licensing requirements and good practice.Applicants for this position should have NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa.
