As a Receptionist, you will take care of the guests from the moment they arrive through to their departure by ensuring they have a memorable experience with us.
Reporting to the Front Office Manager, you will be assisting guests upon arrival, ensuring the smooth check in and check out, and assisting them with any queries throughout their stay.
As a Receptionist, your primary responsibilities will include: Welcoming guests from all corners of the world to our beautiful hotel, growing relationships with new and regular guests.
Ensure accuracy and professionalism with information and payments during arrivals and departures.
Maintain a logical work sequence, adhering to cash handling and security procedures.
Provide valuable local knowledge and promote hotel facilities, actively up-selling to maximise occupancy and rates.
Manage guest property with care, ensuring proper documentation for storage.
Promote Accor loyalty programmes, contributing to guest satisfaction and brand loyalty.
Work closely with a fantastic team, fostering positive relationships with other departments, including Housekeeping, Food and Beverage and Reservations.
We are looking for a special someone with a passion for people and providing impressive service to join our front office team on a part time basis.
This part time role is working across a rotating 7 day roster, waged at $25.94 per hour.
Qualifications You will ideally have previous experience as a receptionist in a hotel environment, however not essential.
In addition: Exceptional communication skills both written, verbal and non-verbal.
You will be an organized individual with a high attention to detail who is also able to take initiative Previous experience in a Reservations environment is an advantage Prior use of Opera cloud & TARS Database or similar PMS is preferred.
Ability to work a flexible roster including mornings, evenings, weekends and public holidays You will have NZ residency or be holding a permanent NZ work visa.
