We are looking for a receptionist to become the newest member of our busy admin and reception team. The position involves answering the phones, admission processing, billings and liaison between surgeons, consulting rooms, staff and the public.
We are looking for someone to complete an average of 29 hours per week and will cover (once trained) all our Receptions. Our Main Reception is open from 6.30am to 8.30pm, with 3 shifts covering this area, Monday to Friday. Our Theatre Reception operates from 7.30am to 4pm, Monday to Friday. Our Oropi Reception is open from 7am to 2.30pm, Monday to Friday. And our Ward Reception is manned 7.30am to 4pm, Monday to Friday, 8am to 2pm Saturdays and 9am to 1pm on Sundays.
You will be joining a team of 5 other Receptionists working rostered shifts. Once every 4 weeks (approx.), you will be rostered on to cover the weekend Ward Reception, so please ensure you can cover these hours before applying for this vacancy.
Responsibilities: Answering phones and managing inquiries
Processing admissions and billings
Liaising between surgeons, consulting rooms, staff, and the public
Qualifications: Proven background in reception and data entry
Positivity, with an attitude where nothing is a problem
Highly developed customer service skills
Excellent communication skills, with a commitment to quality and accuracy
Highly professional in your approach while showing compassion toward our patients
Accountability for your work and openness to feedback and direction
Computer literacy and ability to quickly learn new systems
Previous experience working in a hospital, or a Dental/Doctors surgery, would be an advantage.
