Job description Working as a Reception Teacher, you will be responsible for planning, delivering and assessing the EYFS curriculum, ensuring a stimulating and supportive environment. The role involves collaborating with colleagues, parents, and other stakeholders to create a holistic and enriching educational experience for students.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Planning and delivering engaging and developmentally appropriate lessons in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework. Creating a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment that supports the social, emotional, and academic development of each child. Establishing positive relationships with parents, providing regular communication and opportunities for parental involvement in their child's learning. Assessing and monitoring individual student progress, providing feedback and adapting teaching strategies to meet the needs of diverse learners. Organising and participating in school events, parent-teacher conferences, and transition activities to facilitate a smooth integration into Reception. Collaborating with teaching assistants and support staff to create an effective and supportive learning environment. Implementing effective behaviour management strategies, ensuring a positive and respectful classroom culture. Requirements: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. Experience in teaching Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) or Reception classes is desirable. Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework and its implementation. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, especially with young children and parents. Passion for early childhood education, fostering a love for learning in young children.
