We have some fantastic opportunities in our clinic reception and hospital administration teams, on a part-time and full-time basis. Our reception team are the face of Hauora Hokianga providing friendly and helpful customer service in person and on the phone, booking appointments, updating records and other data entry. Our administration super stars provide support for managers and teams, coordinate the flow of information, manage calendars, diaries, documentation and administrative processes. The ideal candidate would bring: Excellent communication and relationship building skills People-focus and motivation to deliver exceptional client/patient experiences Administration experience, ideally within the health sector or similar Organisation skills, the ability to prioritise and exceptional attention to detail Strong computer skills, especially with Microsoft products. An understanding of, or experience using practice management software would be helpful Excellent time management skills, positive work ethic and a 'can do' attitude Closing date for applications is Sunday 25 th August 2024. ENVIRONMENTAL SERVICES WORKER We have a part-time opportunity available for a meticulous, reliable and motivated team player to join our dedicated Environmental Services team. As a collaborative member of the team, you will primarily be responsible for ensuring that the highest standard of cleanliness, sanitation and hygiene is maintained for patients, residents, staff and visitors at all times across our facilities. Applicants will need to be available to work shifts across a 7 day per week rotating roster. You will be able to demonstrate meticulous attention to detail, a willingness to follow directions, and be able to work effectively as part of a team and independently. You will have good communication skills, be highly organised and have a pleasant disposition. Previous cleaning experience within the health sector or a commercial environment along with a working knowledge of cleaning products, techniques and equipment is an advantage but not essential. A clean and current drivers licence is a must. Closing date for applications is Sunday 1 st September 2024 . FIRST COOK We are looking for a First Cook to run our busy hospital kitchen. You will be responsible for the smooth running of the kitchen including serving high-quality meals that meet patient dietary needs, catering for functions, ensuring supplies are well stocked, and a high standard of cleanliness is maintained. You'll need to be hands on, with the ability to lead the day to day operations of the kitchen including coordinating the kitchen roster, working to a set menu, and supervising the second cook and relief kitchen staff. Previous commercial cooking experience is essential along with relevant qualifications in dietary and hygiene areas. This is a full time position working 5 days per week which may include weekends and public holidays to fill the roster. Hours of work are from 9:30am to 6:00pm for 4 days, with 1 administration day working 8:00am to 4:30pm. Closing date for applications is Sunday 1 st September 2024 . DOCTORS GP and Rural Hospital Doctor – Locum or Permanent opportunities providing comprehensive, integrated primary and secondary health services through our community clinics and rural hospital. Cornerstone accredited. Training available for those looking to expand their practice in rural medicine. Rural Registrar Placement: broaden your skillset through exposure to a wide variety of presentations working within a close-knit, supportive team. Rural Hospital – level 2 and Rural General Practice runs can be carried out in tandem over a 12-month placement. Applicants must be registered with the Medical Council of New Zealand to practice as a Doctor in New Zealand. Accommodation provided. NURSING OPPORTUNITIES Registered Nurse: support a diverse range of patients across accident and emergency, acute inpatient, and hospital level residential care across a 24/7 shift roster. Community Health Nurse: undertake a wide range of nursing duties in our rural community including district nursing, public health nursing, practice nursing, well child nursing and palliative care. Nurse Practitioner: demonstrate nursing leadership and provide clinical advice, care, and education. Place whanau at the centre of care, exploring health and wellbeing concerns, preferences, health behaviours, attitudes and priorities using a Kaupapa Maori strengths-based approach. Ideal candidates will have at least 2 years' experience, however applications are welcome from new graduates. Previous experience in rural setting or Maori health provider is desirable. You'll need a current drivers licence and practicing certificate, with the ability to pass a police background check.
