The RAN Project Engineer will own, develop and deliver accurate, cost-effective engineering solutions which enable One NZ to deliver to our customers' needs and to ensure mobile network leadership. Document, communicate and continuously improve technical standards and practices and ensure that RAN projects are implemented within acceptable quality and agreed scope.
Ko to mahi – what you'll doOwn and drive appropriate One NZ site specifications and TI design aspects (power/cabinet) as part of the RAN Site Design Guidelines and standards.Work with project team to ensure that sites are built and upgraded to meet One NZ specifications.Assist to achieve delivery of projects within quality, time, budget and agreed scope.Develop procedures to minimise customer impacts, maximise quality and value to the network and customers.Relationship management - working with vendors/suppliers to develop/customise new hardware.Introduction of new hardware – test and develop installation standards and procedures.Contribute to the continuous improvement of processes, tools & methodologies.Na tou rourou - what you'll bringWork experience in a wireless environment.Post-secondary education, Bachelor of Electrical or Telecommunication Engineering preferred.Understanding of power & cabinet requirements, design & specification.Good general understanding of RAN/TX network architecture.Adaptable, flexible and receptive to change, with an ability to learn on the job.At One New Zealand, we have a clear purpose to unlock the magic of technology to create an awesome Aotearoa.
