We are offering you a fulfilling role, a rewarding team and great location to be based.We work as a strong MDT within our radiology service, and the welfare of our patients and their families at the core of our work!About the roleOur Radiology Service provides to a population of approximately 310,000 people over the lower South Island, our work is predominately emergency and inpatient cases. We offer a full range of imaging modalities based on a digital RIS / PACS systems. We offer MRI, Interventional, CT and ultrasound, however, we do not offer mammography services.Our vacancy requires a Radiologist with a general scope of skills, including MRI and CT guided procedures; ultrasound experience is advantageous to us, but not an absolute necessity for you to be successful in gaining this role. As we are a flexible department, we are willing and able to make the most of your skills and are happy to support your special interest. As a team who prides ourselves in the work we do, and the care provided to our patients, quality is at the centre of our service and there is an expectation that you will participate in quality initiatives as part of your role. You will participate in an out of hours on call roster shared equally amongst your Radiologist colleagues.About youAs an outstanding team player, you'll have the energy to make a positive difference with both patients and colleagues alike. This is a great opportunity for someone wanting to take a sabbatical and spend a year working in a truly great setting.You must be FRANZCR qualified (or equivalent) and hold, or be eligible for, vocational registration with Medical Council of NZ.
