With a large hospital campus in Palmerston North, it also provides key health care and support services to neighbouring communities.
The Opportunity This position is full time, fixed term for approximately 18 months for a Radiation Therapy Assistant to join the Regional Cancer Treatment Service (RCTS) in Palmerston North.
The successful applicant will be required to work under the supervision of designated care team members to support the delivery of patient treatment and will provide support in all areas of the department including CT, Planning, Treatment and patient care.
Part of this position also has administration tasks via working alongside the Radiation Oncology Booking Coordinator to ensure patients are scheduled in accordance with Faster Cancer Treatment timeframes.
Training will be provided to the applicant and knowledge of the patient journey for radiation therapy patients would be beneficial or a healthcare background would be beneficial.
