This unit serves a population of approximately 850,000 and has approximately 120 staff. We are comprised of an Oncology Department (which includes Radiation Therapy and Chemotherapy outpatient treatment areas), an Inpatient Ward, Palliative Care Service and a Haematology Outpatient Department.Our RT department centre is an all Varian environment (Eclipse, TrueBeam, Halcyon with Hypersight, Bravos) and delivers advanced treatment techniques, including SABR, IGRT and HyperArc SRT.About YouOur ideal candidate will have:A wide range of advanced radiation therapy planning knowledge gathered over at least three years practicing as a radiation therapist.An interest in brachytherapy or developing brachytherapy planning and treatment skills.Proven leadership, self-awareness and maturity when dealing with complex situations, specifically when planning radiation therapy techniques.High level of emotional intelligence and ability to connect and communicate knowledge with people.Ability to perform well under pressure and solve problems independently.Registration and current practising certificate (without restrictions) as a Radiation Therapist with the New Zealand MRTB.Working for Health New ZealandHealth New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is 'the weaving of wellness'.
