Nau mai, haere mai ki Te Whatu Ora – Capital, Coast & Hutt Valley District Location: Wellington Regional Hospital, Kenepuru Hospital and Hutt Hospital Service: Radiation Oncology Service Contract: Full time, fixed term - starting Jan 2025 - Jan 2026 Salary: As per ASMS SECA Korero mo te turanga – About the role The Wellington Blood, Cancer and Palliative Care Services, Health New Zealand, Te Whatu Ora – Capital, Coast and Hutt Valley is seeking applicants for the position as a Radiation Oncologist Fellow (Brachytherapy Gynaecology) position for a fixed-term vacancy. The Fellow will work under supervision of the Radiation Oncologists who provide the gynaecology oncology service. There will be opportunity for collaboration with pathologists, radiologists, gynaecology oncologists and medical oncologists. The applicant will have completed Phase 2 of RANZCR training and be eligible to work in New Zealand. Ideally suited to a fellow wanting to upskill in brachytherapy gynaecology before working in a radiation oncology department in New Zealand. By the end of the fellowship year it is expected that the Fellow will be competent in the management of all gynae malignancies, and specifically will meet the criteria to independently perform HDR brachytherapy for intra-cavitary and interstitial sites. Approximately 50% of time will be allocated to clinical work, and 50% to research/ service development.
