With a large hospital campus in Palmerston North, it also provides key health care and support services to neighbouring communities. The Opportunity MidCentral is seeking to appoint a Quality and Clinical Effectiveness Advisor within the Quality Assurance Team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work closely with executive, managers and clinical leaders across the organisation to drive improvements in the way we deliver our services, and to contribute to building a continuous improvement culture across the District. The role carries responsibility for the leadership and coordination of clinical audit and clinical effectiveness activity across the organisation. You will lead the development of quality, health equity and clinical excellence measurement to support continuous improvement. You will also build capacity in our system and lead education and training programmes to enable clinical teams with clinical effectiveness activity. As part of the Quality and Innovation Team you will be a champion for continuous improvement, through collaborative improvement methodology. The Quality Assurance Team focus on enabling evidence-based practice and a culture of continuous service improvement, quality care outcomes and excellence in consumer experience. MidCentral is aiming to support changes which will deliver seamless care to our community, improvement in health outcomes, and access to health services and models of care which are co-designed and consumer/family/whanau centred. The role will work with clinical, managerial and executive leaders across MidCentral and system partners, to design service models and lead programmes and projects to successful benefit realisation. To be considered appropriate for this role, you will have significant experience in quality improvement and/or clinical audit and effectiveness. You will have leadership skills, experience in delivery of education and training and an ability to build a strong business partnership with clinical teams. Ideally you will have a clinical background, although an APC is not essential. Candidates with experience in co-design, continuous improvement methods and change management skills or qualifications are preferred. You will understand the importance of customer experience and have demonstrated business partnering capabilities in previous roles.
