Are you ready to sink your teeth into a juicy career? A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Purchasing and Planning Co-ordinator to join our team.
Since 1862, we've grown from a local orchard to a beloved national brand, known for our quality apples and innovative stonefruit varieties. From our historic Havelock North homestead, we manage 600 hectares of orchards, delivering fresh, delicious fruit year-round.
We are looking for an experienced individual with a strong background in purchasing, inventory management, and export freight coordination who is keen to join us full time.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage all purchasing needs of the business, ensuring year-round availability of packaging materials
Coordinate export freight operations, including sea freight container booking and loading
Ensure regular stock assessments and manage inventory levels
Liaise with packaging manufacturers and maintain strong supplier relationships
Work with GM Post Harvest on packaging requirements and new products
Oversee compliance with export regulations and quality standards
Prepare and review inventory reports and manage annual bin flow reporting
Other ad hoc duties as required
About You:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar role, preferably in export-oriented industries
Strong understanding of stock control, packaging, and planning processes
Knowledge of export freight procedures and documentation
Excellent time management and organisational skills
Ability to build and maintain professional relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders
Strong analytical skills with proficiency in relevant computer systems
Skilled in Microsoft Excel Pivot Tables, Formulas, Power Query and VBA
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
A positive can-do attitude with a willingness to learn and contribute to a team
