Minimum Requirements: Can you demonstrate evidence of successful teaching in Education at tertiary level?
Do you have a PhD in Education or a related field and an established or developing record of scholarly research?
Have you got strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work with staff and students from a diverse range of backgrounds?
Responsibilities: Hold a PhD in Education or a related field.
Teach at both undergraduate and postgraduate level, primarily in the BA Education and the Master of Education programmes.
Some teaching in the School's initial teacher education programmes is also desirable, depending on your research and teaching expertise.
Supervise Masters and PhD students, provide service to the School, Faculty and University, maintain a programme of research and work to secure external research funding.
Be highly engaged with local and national communities and within your own research community.
Ideally, hold a registration and full certification with the Teaching Council of Aotearoa New Zealand and also have the ability to undertake visits of student teachers on professional practice placements in early childhood services and schools.
