As an experienced engagement advisor, your key focus will be to make sure the voice of our community is reflected in advice for our Council's key public transport decisions. Environment Canterbury is responsible for delivering public transport services across the Greater Christchurch and Timaru networks, with many complex decisions requiring balanced information. This role is vital to ensure we design and deliver a comprehensive and balanced approach to engagement that reflects Environment Canterbury's values. You'll be an experienced engagement advisor, with a proven record of focusing on the customer. Ideally, you'll be tertiary qualified and have at least 5 years of experience in community engagement or similar. To enjoy this role, you'll have the following experience, skills, and attributes: Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate within & across teamsProven track record of working with stakeholders & representing organisations on complex projectsProject management experience and operational knowledge of public transportAbility to identify & implement improvements to public transport engagementAbility to ensure we deliver and maintain strong relationships that are cohesive with the wider organisationA history of supporting and mentoring other staff in connecting with the communityOur values underpin everything we do.
