Welcome to Heretaunga, whose beauty is observed by the sharp eye of the harrier hawk; a landscape rich in history and with an esteemed legacy of caring and providing for its inhabitants.We are looking for a full-time Public Spaces Operations Manager to join the Public Spaces & Building Assets team within the Asset Management Group.This role will coordinate and manage all operations and maintenance activities provided by the Parks team. The role is responsible for the co-ordination and management of all operations and maintenance activities on parks and open spaces of the District.Hastings has nationally recognised parks and recreation facilities and a team that strives to provide quality public spaces for the community. We are looking for a motivated leader to join our open spaces team.The successful candidate will need to have:A relevant qualification and experience in contract management.Proven experience in parks and open space operations management.Sound understanding and working knowledge of Contract Legislation.Developed computer skills and experience in RAMM.The ability to communicate professionally, both in writing and verbally.A commitment to working alongside the community to provide quality outcomes.We are an equal opportunity employer and we value diversity.
